My goofy dogs
This weekend has been pretty awesome so far. Shawn and I stayed up late together last night after having a not-so-good time at Outback Steakhouse. We spent most of the night cutting up and goofing off. Today we spent a lot of time outside with the dogs. It was one of the prettiest days we’ve had in a long time and for some reason the dogs were pretty much wired. I’m sure you’re probably sick of seeing them, but they’ve been loving the camera lately. Normally they try their best to avoid it.

I went to hang out with Les at a tattoo shop (she has some friends that work there) up the street from my house and randomly decided to have my heart redone.
It was originally done two years ago in North Carolina when Paul and I were visiting his family. It had no meaning at the time but turned out to be pretty significant. When he and I were still together, it was a reminder of good times that we shared and how hard I was fighting for him. I’m glad I decided to have it fixed, because it was faded and uneven. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out, it’s just right. Now it reminds that shit can be ugly and lopsided but it doesn’t have to stay that way.
Yes, I so just related a tiny heart-shaped tattoo on my middle finger to my (love) life and how much it’s changed. I know I’m silly, but I really feel that way.
ps - I failed Project 365 again. The past seven days have been a little hectic, so I will admit to my failure and just take my photos when I feel inspired. D’oh!
pss - I have edited this post 365 times.

001/365: I an starting Project 365 over for the THIRD time. I’ve decided that if I start to quit or slack this time, I’m not going to try it again. I think the first time I tried I made it to almost a month, then gave up because I didn’t feel it was any fun with my point and shoot considering the whole reason I started was to become more familiar with my XTi. When it was stolen I got very discouraged and gave up.
The second time I quit was out of sheer laziness and the fact that I couldn’t keep track of my days. My solution to that? Start on the first of the month so it’s easier to keep track of. I’ve also organized my pictures folder, created a ‘Raw Images’ folder, as well as a folder for my 365 photos so that lack of organization cannot be an excuse for me to fail the third and final time.

I’m going through my flickr and deleting lots and lots of pictures. Mostly pictures of people I’m no longer fond of or whatever, but could really be anything because I’ve got so many photos that have no reason to be here.
Anyhow, this picture is from long long ago when Les and I used to spend our days riding in my ‘72 VW Beetle, sitting at Starbucks waiting for Cadence to get off work, or recording silly videos, so silly that when you find them years later your belly hurts from laughing so hard…
I assume this photo was taken either the day of, or not long after we had gone to this New Age expo here in town. I always have so much fun at those things, and that particular time we had our Aura photos taken. The “photographer’s” name was Akbar and while he was explaining the colors in my photo he started to whisper about sex and how you shouldn’t do it to get people to like you. Or something along those lines… but I just looked at him like, “What? :uhm: .” It was sooo funny.
Les said his breath was really bad, but I think I was in such shock I’d stopped breathing.

I was feeling a little too frisky yesterday.
It ended up being a really good day… so good that we never went to bed.
