Yesterday someone sent me an email via the contact form on my site (a rarity). It was an offer to do a product review, which I’ll admit made me a little excited. I would actually consider doing one of those depending on the item and whether or not I can actually be honest. I would never write something positive here for a shit product (and I will NOT do sponsored posting at kelleyroo.com).
Hi,
I am the webmaster of peloop.com (NSFW!)
I find your blog very interesting to read. Your way of writing can magnet
and lure a lot of visitors/readers. Would you be able to write about our
product after visiting our site?Or if you have a friend who is interested to try our product, we can send you one. From this, you can gain insights and share your friend’s experience to us.
I would really be interested to know if you would be able to post your findings/review in your blog, it may be a positive or negative one, with links to our site.
Regards,
Sara Smith
I thought it seemed pretty legit (wreaks of copypasta, though) so I checked out the site. Ummm…
I guess this is one of those situations where “depending on the item” comes in. Thanks, but no thanks.
I ended up replying for the fun of it. I made up some “policy on product reviews” that requires sending $100 to my paypal address. I’d die if “Sara Smith” actually did. I’d be all, “Hey Shawwwwwn. I got you a presssseeeeeeeent.”

Hahahahaha! I’m not going to click the site but I can definitely imagine lol. It’s funny that people take the effort to do things like that when very few bloggers would take em up on it. I kind of hope they have a bot that crawls for contact forms, because otherwise they’re wasting a lot of time…
