Let’s leave today

I read on the mighty interwebs that today is Canada Day, so happy Canada Day, Canada! It reminded me of the fact that I used to listen to some real goofy music when I was “young” which then reminded me that I’ll be 22 next Friday. I know it is only 22, and I’m certainly not one to say, “Oh god, I’m so old! I’m an old man!” because that’s dumb. You’re not old. You’re only old if you want to be and do we really get old?

It’s not the number that bothers me but how quickly it got here. It makes me so mad to think about how many times I’ve heard, “the years will go by faster and faster,” and wanted to roll my eyes at this old coot telling me I’m not going to realize how quickly it’ll pass by.

I had the most frighteningly ridiculous dream this morning. I let the dogs out in the back yard and when I let them back in someone snatched me and put a gun to my head. Shawn followed, and there we were in the yard, about to die. Somehow I managed to run back inside and Shawn came back and said, “THANKS FOR LEAVING ME, but they were just joking.”

Did you see Catrina on my page? We have a pending adoption for the little one, but she is really sick. =( She is so far away too, it is killing me!
