A good sign

I’ve just begun my 13th hour of being at work today. I can already tell a difference–if I were still on the pill I’m pretty sure I’d be in the bathroom crying right now.

Ahh the pill. I’m trying to decide if I want to take it or not. I have them (thanks to my mother) I’m just not sure yet. So I now have another possible con to add to my pro/con list.
    Lovely site by the way!

Birth control is all trial and error, really. I’ve been on a pill, the shot (depo provera), and I’m currently using NuvaRing.

The pill I was on was okay, but I was really forgetful about taking it. The shot was hoooooorrible. NuvaRing has been the best so far, but I’m going to have to stop taking it because I’m paying 50/month which is pretty ridiculous. I’ll probably switch to another pill, provided it’s low dose.

Maybe that’s what you need - a low dose pill. Typically, they have less side effects.

Yaz supposedly is low dose, and is also supposed to help treat PMDD symptoms… which I didn’t even have but it didn’t make much sense to me, I thought I’d be fine taking it and even told my doctor about the issues I had when I was taking the pill years ago. :\

I was on the Pill once. It nearly killed me. The Pill is evil. EVIL, I say.

I had a similar experience as Ally. I started with the pill but I was very forgetful. Then I went to the patch but it made me VERY moody. Now I’m on the NuvaRing and I LOVE IT. It is expensive though. With insurance I used to pay just $9/ring but now I’m paying $42/ring since I no longer have insurance.
