I’ve been seeing Publishers Clearing House commercials here lately, advertising that you can win $5,000 a WEEK for LIFE. I would absolutely die of a heart attack if someone was willing to pay me 5 thousand dollars a week for the rest of my life. I would never have to work… oh mah lord.

Anyway I remembered to go ahead and enter today and after I submitted my info I went over to the rules page to try and figure out just exactly why they have so much money to give away and how the process even works. Turns out the odds of winnings the 5K a week is ONE in 505 million. Umm yeah.. I’m not getting my hopes up. Not that I really would anyway, but I’m just not even going to think about it.

My god, the things I could do with twenty thousand dollars a month. Wonder how much it turns out to be after taxes?

Not only would you not have to work, but you could pay other people’s salaries to do everything else for you while you’re away in some far far far away place. I’d die too. Maybe that’s what they’re counting on.

I have entered into the same sweepstakes for years now, It sounds great and maybe one day when I am so old and about to die, when I can’t use the money the way I wanted to when I was younger, I will actually win. Of course, it can’t be inherited either so the family you leave behind will never see a penny. The company gets there money by having you, a consumer, click on their links, which enters you automatically into the contest and then sends you to a whole other site that hopefully you will be interested in and maybe even buy something from, in turn that website pays PCH a percentage of what they make from sales based on the amount of traffic they get directly from PCH. It’s just one great big marketing scam to get you to buy things from other companies. I am still going to enter everytime I can anyway, just to increase my odds, as long as it doesn’t cost anything then why not?
