New Year’s meme

eeee… this thing is really long. Happy New Year’s everyone!

1.What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before?
I bought a house this year, ended it with Paul for good, designed an entire 34 page, 11 x 17 full color magazine by myself (conquered print!) and.. hmm… what else?

fuck

It’s 7:30 in the morning and I am awake and frustrated. I can’t stop coughing and my throat hurts like hell. I took some cough syrup but it’s not doing much for some reason. It seems like any other time it starts working right away.

I just want to sleep. :(

Apparently not obsessed

I took down our Christmas tree because I could not handle it any longer. In my opinion the decorations, music, and other shit should come down and be over with the day after Christmas. I know there’s the “after New Years” rule but I can’t handle it. Once Christmas is over, it’s over and if it were up to me everything would come down the night of.

It wasn’t my tree or decorations so I’m sure I took it down and packed it away wrong, but at this point I couldn’t care. Christmas is over folks and I refuse to look at or think about it any longer.

I’ve been watching Truelife all night and after seeing three episodes that I’ve already seen, they’re finally showing one I haven’t and boy does it make me feel good about myself. It’s called Truelife: I’m obsessed with my dog and these people make me feel normal. I seriously thought I was obsessed with my dogs because I hate to leave them. For example, when I went out of town for 3 days I thought it would break their hearts and Amanda assured me it isn’t normal to feel that way so I was feeling bad. BUT, this girl on the episode left her dog for an hour and was calling her home to leave messages on the answering machine for the dog to hear. Just ridiculous. Especially when the dog is a bright pink poodle. Named Shea.

However, there is a man on the show who is obsessed with his pit, Sophia, and I feel that his obsession is completely justified. She’s a doll.

In Its Cage

I have been working on this thing since about noon today, and a bit last night but I think it’s safe to say I’m as done with this theme as I can get.

I actually coded it all by myself so I’m a little proud of it, only not so proud of the errors that randomly show up on my Web Developer Toolbar, I have no idea what they mean or how to fix it. I googled it but couldn’t find much. It doesn’t seem too important, probably from a plugin or something.

Honestly I don’t even feel like thinking about it anymore. I ran into a million and one issues but I hope things will only get smoother from here. It isn’t as fancy as I’d like but hey, it’s widgetized!

Phew!

stupid crap

I’ve been working hard on a theme that I’ve managed to code myself, however right as I’m close to wrapping up I start having issues with my sidebar. Ugh. I’m pissy.

through the viewfinder

cupcake

Les got me this bag as one of my Christmas gifts and I absolutely love it. She also got me the cupcake pin and another pin, and my brother and sister-in-law also got me some Pee-Wee Herman pins. They know me too well it seems like. I will probably take photos of the rest of my gifts later today, but I wanted to share this one now because it is my first attempt at taking a photo through the viewfinder of my Kodak Duaflex that I bought nearly a year ago.

I think it turned out well for my first attempt, considering I still don’t really know what I’m doing with my DSLR outside of auto mode. It’s frustrating because I feel like I have the eye for good shots I just can’t ever figure out how to take them. I stalk many great photographers on flickr and I can’t help but wonder how they take the photos that they do. I guess I’ll figure it out sooner or later so long as I keep on trying.

If you know of any good sites/books/whatever that might help, please do let me know.

:)
